Get 50% off on Final Value fees when creating new promotional campaigns on eBay
Pay less final value fees until the 16th of August
eBay has decided to help sellers who create new campaigns with the promotional tool by offering them a 50% discount on the eBay UK Final Value fees on sales where the price reduction is applied, this promotion will be active until the 16th of August 2019.
This promotional program is reserved for sellers who create campaigns using the Order Discount option before the 26th of July. What this means is that if you already have running campaigns you should simply pause them and create brand new campaigns instead – and run those. Your bank account will be thankful!
In other words, selling on the eBay UK platform during the slower summer months might bring you more profit than initially expected. It is a known fact that during the summer months buyers are focused on their holidays and not spending as much time as they usually do on shopping platforms.
Keep in mind that in the unlikely case that you are offering a discount but the buyer does not accept it, the Final Value fee reduction will not apply. Let’s say, for example, that you offer sellers 20% off of every order over £100, the final value fee promotion would not be applied on an order which has a value below £100.
You won’t be risking anything, there are no extra fees involved if you create Order Discount campaigns, maybe just a few minutes of time needed to set up the campaigns. On the other hand, eBay buyers have a bigger chance to increase the average value of their shopping basket and because they can save money on their orders.
With the Order Discount tool, you are offering discounts based on the order size or the amount of money spent by a particular buyer. You can also create promotions such as a percentage off an additional item, or buy one get one free, these being some of the most popular price reduction campaigns available on eBay.
If you want your items to be eligible for the eBay Promotions Manager, your listing must be created in the fixed-price format, so with a Buy It Now price. The products you’re promoting will show up at the advertised price, and the discount will be applied in your buyer’s shopping cart. Don’t know how to access Promotions Manager? Try it from the Marketing tab of the eBay UK Seller Hub.
Seller Hub is the central place for you to manage your eBay business. It also allows you to view useful data and offers recommendations which can help you grow your eBay sales.
There are no costs for using the Seller Hub, as you are only obliged to pay for the subscriptions you may have, such as Selling Manager Pro or Shops, to access that functionality from Seller Hub. Seller Hub includes all your current listing activity and orders so you can jump right in, so you won’t have to re-enter any login details.
In conclusion, dear eBay UK sellers, don’t forget: creating campaigns using the Order Discount option before the 26th of July on eBay UK will bring you a 50% discount off of Final Value fees. This reduction is applied only on sales completed until the 16th of August.
